The 2017 VCPD Central Region Summit “Professional Development with the Power to connect” was held on Monday, May 1, 2017 at the Hunton Community Center.
Over 50 participants from a variety of organizations and localities attended the event.
The Summit was an excellent opportunity for Early Childhood Professional Development Providers to meet, discuss common issues, and share resources, and learn more about professional development.
Highlights of the day included delicious food, the chance to network, and our incredible guest speaker Kristie Pretti-Frontczak, Ph.D. Participants were very fortunate to have her speak about her revolutionary research and experiences in the world of early childhood and professional development. Dr. Pretti-Frontczak, a, Savvy Speaker & Impassioned Play Advocate, helped participants to re-imagine how they provide professional development, reclaim their superpowers, and reaffirm why they are early childhood warriors.
