Central

2016 Summit

The 2016 VCPD Central Region Summit “Connections Count: A Summit for Early Childhood Professional Development Providers” was held on Friday, April 29, 2016 at the Weinstein JCC.

Over 40 participants from a variety of organizations and localities attended the event.

The Summit was an excellent opportunity for Early Childhood Professional Development Providers to meet, discuss common issues, and share resources.

Highlights of the day included guest speakers on Early Childhood Policy Updates, the VCPD 101 training module 1: Interactive, Participant-Centered Instructional Strategies and  Adult Learning Principles.  Smaller breakout sessions also provided opportunities to focus on early childhood topics including the Child Development Block Grant, the IMPACT Registry, Virginia Quality, and VDOE early childhood special education.
